Mostly I post my journals done in composition books, but whatever catches my fancy is likely to show up here. You can click on the photos to get a larger view.

I've been thinking lately about writing some how-to's for my style of journaling and sharing them online. I would love some feed-back on whether there is any interest in this or not.
Dawn, I'd be very interested. I am using one of the black marble books for my current journal and have used a few of your suggestions for it, but my results still leave much to be desired.
Well I cut circles from a magazine to add to yesterday's journal page thanks to your inspirational pages. I haven't posted this particular entry on my blog yet, but I will in the next day or so. Your pages are always so interesting, I think a 'how-to' would be a great idea.
Yes, please, Dawn. I am very interested. I love your work and have found your writing style and instructions to be right-on. Thanks for being willing to continue to share.
Dawn, you would be great at a how-to project! I am currently writing a teaching format and flow chart type presentation for a hands-on journal workshop/class that I want to teach locally here in Orlando, FL. I can't wait to see your comments and hints. :)
Add me to the list, too! I am SO very much interested; I have tried to make notes from your suggestions, and often end up with a question or two, which I then forget to ask. I love your work and feel encouraged. I would also like to know what you have tried and have not been pleased with the results. Thanks for considering doing this!
Please do. I come to your blog site to look for inspiration on how to start my art journal entries and would love to learn more. Your pages are beautiful.
I would really.. underline really... be interested. I love how you work and I have always wanted to journal this way. What kind of book do you use for the journal? Pati in New Mexico www.picturetrail.com/sissysgal1
I don't know if anyone is checking back here, but I've decided to do at least a couple of Page Recipes and see how it goes. I've recently become a moderator on the CompositionArtJournal Yahoo group and I'm thinking about posting the recipes there as it will give everyone a place for follow-up questions and show and tell.
Pati, I use a regular black speckled composition book for my journal. I have used them for years and when I started adding visual elements, I decided not to change.

ReplyDeleteI'd be interested too, I think your pages look absolutely gorgeous!

Gradually catching up on Blogs I've neglected after my mid-May London trip. I love your Journal, and it'd be great to have more how-to's.
ReplyDeleteI bought an A4 page a day diary this year, and most pages are empty... But I do have a lot of cuttings etc to glue in when I find the glue stick. ;-)
