I've been working on a swap where I'm supposed to do one 5" square project a day based on a specific object for the month of June. I'm pretty far behind, but enjoying what I've done so far. I first chose a basket, but later changed my mind to draw, paint, collage etc...this crazy quilt heart. It was my third crazy quilt project. When I read the EveryDayMatters list this afternoon, I found out that the challenge this week is to sketch something you have made. I just did that a couple of days ago, so this serves two purposes. I've done four other variations, one in pastels and three in collage. I'll post some of them soon.

Came by way of the Everyday Matters group. I love crazy quilting too and your sketch is great. I made a crazy quilt heart like that from a Judith Montano book a few years ago. Happy to see someone else that likes crazy quilting.
ReplyDeleteYour journal pages are terrific too!

Thanks Pat. I got my start in crazy quilting from a Judith Montano book too. I wonder how many of us she inspired?
ReplyDeleteMy first project was a wreath, followed by some hearts, vests, etc... You can see many of my projects at: http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/6531/ .
I love crazy quilting, but I'm trying to reduce my fabric hoarding, so I'm slowly giving up many of the bags that have collected dust over the last two years. I love your sketch Dawn and the colored versions too.
