I didn't bring my journal to the hospital, but I did bring some copy paper. I had plenty of time to sketch while I waited for my mom to come out from the heavy sedation. We joked that the nurse had forgotten to change the date on the marker board. Mom missed two days instead of the one she first thought when she looked at it.
I discovered that the vintage sheet music really is too brittle to use for a page base. I had to use lots of masking tape.
