I'm Ready for Zinnias

Sometimes a full-page photo in a magazine just reaches out and grabs me. When it does I put the whole thing in my journal. I enjoyed sketching these zinnias. I wanted to put some color on them, but I was afraid of messing them up since I haven't tried painting on the brown paper yet. I thought maybe colored pencils might work.

Aren't zinnias the happiest little flowers? They bloom and bloom all spring, summer, and fall and barely need any looking after.

Lovely! Yes, colored pencils would probably work great on the brown paper.

I planted zinnias last summer in my front yard... oh, my... what a burst of color. And these things survived lots of harsh Florida sun, drought, and just did spectacular. I plan on buying a lot of them this year. You get a lot of zing for your $$$.
