Diary of Anne Frank

We went to see this at the local community theater. I loved the set with all of its various levels. I wish I could have had more time to draw it and add color. The quilts especially were really bright. I used the brochure for the play along with my sketch and some water-soluable crayons for this page. Sorry about the scan. I prefer to take pictures of my journal, but don't have the camera at home.

I've never gotten to see the Diary of Anne Frank done live. I'm jealous! Reading her diary in school was what initially got me interested in journaling.

Regarding scanning, I've found that if you rotate each leaf until the inner edge is square, then crop them both at the gutter, you get a nice, tidy, invisible seam when you join the two halves of the spread, because the dark shadow at the gutter hides the seam.

I love these pages, I love all your pages (!), but I was especially drawn to these because of the theme. I read Anne Frank's diary when I was a child, too and I was lucky enough to visit her attic hideout in Amsterdam. Even at the age of 12, I found it a very powerful experience.
